Carmen Sato-Bigbee

Carmen Sato-Bigbee, Ph,D., is Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her BS in Biochemistry and Ph,D. in Biological Chemistry at the University of Buenos Aires, followed by her fellowship postdoctoral training in Neurology at the Yale University School of Medicine.​ Her research specialties are central nervous system development, myelination, addiction and brain development, multiple sclerosis, and neuron-glial interaction.
