Andrew Crowther

Andrew Crowther, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in the Department of Neuroscience and Anatomy, and the Principal Investigator at the Crowther Lab at VCU. He completed his PhD at UNC Chapel Hill, and did postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco before joining the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University.

The Crowther Lab's mission is "Understanding the biology to spark novel chronic pain treatment. Anatomy, physiology, and behavior-- measured in the same animals." The lab aims to find solutions to chronic pain, which affects tens of millions of people in the United States and costs hundreds of billions of dollars each year.​
